The
Horseshoe Bend Vineyard is a ridgetop vineyard out near the
Pacific ocean, on the edge of the appellation, an even
cooler location than our own site by temperature, however
sitting above the famous Russian River Valley Fog each day,
at a higher elevation, so even though the flavors are so
perfectly Pinot, its long days in the sunlight give it a
darker, more masculine expression in this vintage.

Rusty Gaffney, the "Prince of Pinot" says, "Aromas
of dark stone fruits, including spiced prunes. Highly
enjoyable flavors of dark berries, dark stone fruits, and
dark chocolate. Harmony and silky texture"
The Beverage Tasting Institute awards us a Gold
medal and "Exceptional" quality, their highest
rating. BTI says, "...aromas of cherry custard, mocha,
mint fudge, and toffee with a round, silky medium-to-full
body and a long, rich and tangy berry and spiced apple
finish. A superbly flavorful and hedonistic pinot."
